German Chamomile is native to Europe and the Orient, growing wild on soils poor in limestone. It is also cultivated and used throughout the world, particularly in the Middle East, India and South America.
Main properties and uses of the German chamomile flower
Antispasmodic, stomachic, digestive, carminative, Choleretic, anti-diarrheal, inflammation and gastric ulcer, gastritis, dyspepsia, colopathy, cramps, bloating, menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea.
Anti-inflammatory, antiallergic: eye disorders, rheumatism, hay fever, asthma, itching.
Anxiolytic, weak hypnotic: sleep disorders, anxiety, mild nervous depression.
How to use German chamomile as an infusion
1 tablespoon of flower for 100ml of boiling water
Leave in contact for one hour.
Around 2 to 4 cups per day
